Family Content: No pornographic, adult-oriented or questionable ads.
Language: Any text you include in your images should abide by the following guidelines:
- Spell words correctly. We may disapprove ads containing unconventional spelling.
- Follow proper grammar conventions: Any symbols, numbers or letters you include must represent the true meaning of the symbol. (?Made 4U? is an example of incorrect letter/symbol use.)
- Avoid phrases that add little value: Your ad should not contain universal call-to-action phrases such as 'click here,' 'link here,' 'visit this link,' 'this site is,' or other similar phrases that could apply to any ad, regardless of content.
- Be concise: Include only relevant information in text. Let your image tell the rest of the story. In a text-only ad, choose your words carefully. A few well-chosen words can be more powerful than a larger image ad.
- Don?t advertise prices, discounts, and free offers.
- Don't make claims of importance: Comparative or subjective phrases such as 'Best,' 'Cheapest,' 'Top,' or '#1,' are not allowed.
- Mature themes: No mature or sexual themes, crude, indecent, offensive or inappropriate language.
Images: Image ads must be 50K or smaller. Ad images must be clear and recognizable. Text appearing in the ad images must be legible. We reserve the right to reject low quality or blurry ad images. No nudity and/or sexual activity are allowed.
Unconventional Image Layouts: Image ads must occupy the entire space of the image format. They cannot appear sideways or upside down, be segmented, contain multiple copies of itself within the ad, or otherwise appear to be more than one ad.
Animated Image Ads: GIF animation ads are not allowed.
Destination URL: Your destination URL must link to a working website with content relevant to your ad. The landing page for your ad cannot be under construction.
Prohibited Uses: By placing an ad, you agree that you will not advertise anything illegal or engage in any illegal or fraudulent business practice. You agree that all your information is correct and current. You agree that McCormack's Guides has rights to copy, distribute and display your ads. You agree that Web sites linked from your ads, including services or products on those sites, will not violate or encourage violation of any applicable laws or rules and policies of McCormack's Guides. Violation of these policies may result in immediate termination of this agreement or your account without notice and may subject you to legal penalties and consequences. Right to Reject Ads: We reserve the right to reject any ads not meeting our requirements. Decisions are not subject to appeal. If you're uncertain about your ad or the content of an ad, contact the editor.
